About B...

Hi, I’m Bethany Wahidi.I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember. I have always loved art and shaping something with my hands, clay has been the material I kept coming back to. There is something about being able to close your eyes and forget the world while you're at the wheel. Pottery brings patience and peace and has always felt like home to me.

My career eventually took me into healthcare and public health, where I worked as a nurse and consultant helping improve maternal care programs across the United States. The work was meaningful but often intense, and pottery became the place where I could slow down and stay grounded. Working with clay helped me process stress, reconnect with creativity, and remember why making things with my hands matters.

Now I live in the Netherlands with my husband Omar and I am building Wahidi Ceramics one piece at a time. This first year here is my learning year. I am working from a shared studio, testing glazes, and creating. Alongside making pottery, I offer one on one lessons and small hand building classes for beginners and curious creatives. I love helping people discover how calming and joyful clay can be, even if they have never touched it before.Every piece I make is shaped by hand and meant to be used. Mugs for morning coffee, plates for shared meals, and vases for fresh flowers. Simple objects that bring a little warmth to everyday life.Thank you for being here and supporting handmade work.
